SLUMP
HIt a bit of a slump, have not had time to post, I have played twice over the last few weeks. Session 15 was over a week ago and hit a real bad unlucky streak lost 200. Seemed like every good hand I got, where I was a favorite, I got runner runnered. Session 16 was a few nights ago, and I think I just played too long. I was very up and down, and should have left at a certain point but stayed and played becuase I was having so much fun and then things too a down turn. I ended up leaving down 40. I really need to focus the next few times I go out and make sure I leave when I am up.
Total time 8 hrs

Total Out 60

I hate the slumps or when the cards just don't seem to be what you want. Hang in there. Sorry I didn't get to see you this last weekend. I was so tired and got to the room at 8:30PM I was just exhausted and didn't feel it was right to put my BR at risk. I may have to work the $2-$20 game since it is costing so much to travel right now. Any advice? Do well.
ReplyDeleteThat 2-20 game can be interesting there are a few players who like to bluff alot. More in the 2-40 game but still see it in the 2-20. You also get your fair share of drunkards late at night from the club who bluff alot and dont now what they are doing. If you can hold up against them and sniff out the bluffers you can do well. Otherwise I would just stick to playing top hands and not raising at all pre-flop until you really get a good hold of how the regulars play. Also dont get stuck in a ahand just becuase it is a good starting hand. If you can get in a hand cheap in good position I would through a few of those random hands in as well, if you hit a big flop you will make alot. The trick there is not do do it too much or you will drain down your chips trying to hit a sneaky hand that you might not hit. So I would play tight, then aggressive if you hit a flop, with some random hands in there if you are in position and it is not rasied and you feel the SB or BB do not normally raise.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the call today. I was flirting with disaster playing Omaha. Got to stay with what I feel like I am getting better at. I really enjoy playing the Live cash games right now. I am getting my time in and now if I could just find the right place to put in more time. I really like the $3-$6 game.
